Installing Adobe Digital Editions 3.0 (Windows 7, 8 et 10)

The Adobe Digital Editions application allows you to open ebooks and to transfer them onto your reading device.

  1. Go to https://www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions/downloads.html

  2. Go to Downloads section / Adobe Digital Editions 3.0

  3. Click Windows to download the application.

  4. The installation procedure varies depending on your browser:

    1. In Edge/Internet Explorer, click Run in the download bar at the bottom of the page.

    2. In Chrome, choose a location to save your file, then click Save. When the download is complete, click on ADE_3.0_Installer.exe in the download bar at the bottom of the page.

    3. In Firefox, click Save file. When the download is complete, click on the download button in the download bar, then click on ADE_3.0_Installer.exe.

  5. The installation of Adobe Digital Editions will start. Check the box "I accept the terms in the Licence Agreement", then click Next.

  6. Click Next, then click Install.

    Windows may ask you to install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 before continuing the installation. If so, install the component before restarting the installation.

  7. If this is your very first Adobe Digital Editions installation, a Get Norton Security Scan window will pop up. To avoid installing this unsolicited application, disable the Include Norton Security Scan checkbox before clicking on Next.

    If you are updating Adobe Digital Editions, you will be redirected to point 7.

  8. When the installation is complete, click Close to close the installation program. Adobe Digital Editions will start automatically.

  9. In Adobe Digital Editions, click the Help menu, then click Authorize Computer.

  10. Type in the Adobe ID (the email address) and the password you chose when you created your Adobe ID, then click Authorize.

  11. Click OK to complete the authorization.

Your computer is now authorized to download protected ebooks.
